In 2022 and 2023, we completely renovated the Schleiferei II industrial monument, which now houses a total of six separate, modern holiday apartments. When designing, we followed the maxim of identifying and developing the particular charm of the historic building. Visible screet floors, raw masonry walls and exposed steel structural elements could thus be combined to create a harmonious overall impression. This is complemented by furniture that consist of a combination of vintage elements and modern design. For example, table tops were made from historic roof beams and combined with contemporary steel elements, beds were manufactured according to our own designs and juxtaposed with timeless design classics. The individual lighting concept highlights the particular features of each individual apartment.
The elegant apartment #2, “River” is located on the ground floor of Schleiferei II. It has a completely separate entrance and a private terrace and is located directly on the river Sieber. The apartment has an classical yet modern design and is furnished to a high standard; its character is defined by tall, bright rooms with arched windows.
The 85m2 large apartment consists of a bedroom with dressing room, a combined living, dining and cooking area, a bathroom with a shower and a separate guest toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers best conditions for ambitious cooking. The apartment is barrier-free. A storage room for bicycles can be shared on request. The large communal garden is also available.
The private terrace, the immediate view of the nature reserve and the sound of the river Sieber make for an idyllic natural experience and secluded privacy. In addition, the accommodation can be used as a cozy base camp for trips into the wonderful nature of the Harz Mountains - and of course as a place for a relaxing break...
The apartment is designed for two people (basic price). One dog is allowed upon request, other pets are not allowed.
The apartment is not suitable for children under 12 years of age and for babies because there is no fence between the terrace and the river Sieber that flows right past.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in dieser modernen und stilvoll eingerichteten Unterkunft. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft und war perfekt für Spaziergänge mit unserer Hündin. Die Ferienwohnung liegt im Industriedenkmal Schleiferei II und wurde erst kürzlich komplett saniert. Es ist beeindruckend, wie aus einem ehemaligen Lost Place ein so modernes und komfortables Refugium geschaffen wurde. Die Einrichtung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und bietet allen Komfort, den man sich wünschen kann. Besonders die Terrasse mit Blick auf den Fluss ist ein Highlight und sorgt für eine entspannte Atmosphäre. Die ruhige Lage, kombiniert mit der hochwertigen Ausstattung, macht diesen Ort zu einem idealen Rückzugsort. Wir können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder!
We had a wonderful stay, the house is very well equipped with a modern kitchen and bathroom, a very comfortable couch and the view is amazing. Hartmut is a very friendly, accommodating host and a great communicator. The environment is peaceful and quiet, and there are beautiful hikes, which you can start right from this location. An amazing weekend in Schleiferei Zwei. Schleiferei zwei is an exceptional place for a couple getaway. Our apartment had a terrace by the river which was the ideal place for us to read and relax. The beautiful apartment is fully equipped, absolutely anything you need is there and the hosts are very friendly and always happy to help. It's definitely a unique spacious apartment, which combines modern and vintage interior with great attention to detail. On top of that, the apartment is surrounded by beautiful nature and its location provides the calmness and quietness we were looking for.
