In 2022 and 2023, we completely renovated the Schleiferei II industrial monument, which now houses a total of six separate, modern holiday apartments. When designing, we followed the maxim of identifying and developing the particular charm of the historic building. Visible screet floors, raw masonry walls and exposed steel structural elements could thus be combined to create a harmonious overall impression. This is complemented by furniture that consist of a combination of vintage elements and modern design. For example, table tops were made from historic roof beams and combined with contemporary steel elements, beds were manufactured according to our own designs and juxtaposed with timeless design classics. The individual lighting concept highlights the particular features of each individual apartment.
The spacious apartment #1, “Wiese” is located on the ground floor of Schleiferei II. It has a private terrace and is directly adjacent to the communal garden. The apartment is furnished modern and to a high standard, and its character is defined by high-rise rooms and arched windows.
The 85m2 large apartment consists of two bedrooms with dressing rooms, a combined living, dining and cooking area and bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and offers best conditions for ambitious cooking. The apartment is barrier-free. A storage room for bicycles can be shared on request.
The private terrace and direct access to the communal garden with a large sandpit and other accommodation options complement the apartment for an ideal family stay. The accommodation can also be used as a cozy base camp for trips into the wonderful nature of the Harz Mountains - and of course as a place for a relaxing break...
The apartment is designed for four people (basic price). Extra beds are not possible, a baby cot is available free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed in this apartment.

We felt immediately comfortable and welcome! Stopped here and stayed for two days. The apartment was generally very well equipped, clean and we didn't miss anything 😊 beautifully furnished and the location is great too! For our kids, a sandpit right outside the front door, also a playground nearby and right behind the house the small river, summer toboggan run not far away, nature adventure trail, etc.. We spent 5 days in the "Wiese" apartment in the summer with two children and two adults, and it was fantastic! It was a matter of arriving and immediately feeling comfortable. For the children, it was a dream as they could open the front door and start digging in the large sandbox right away.
